Swanland has been named the best place for commuters to live in the UK, according to the Family Hotspots Report 2014.
The Family Investments study looked at crime rates and school results in towns and villages within 15 miles of major city centres.
Swanland was also named as the fifth best place to live in England and Wales.
Describing the village, the report said: "Above average key stage two and four results and very low crime rates have contributed to Swanland rising up the Family Friendly Hotspots rankings, from eighth last year to its current fifth place."
