A WOMAN continues to fight for her life after a bus was hit by a car in east Hull.
The 64-year-old woman was a passenger on the number 54 Stagecoach bus, en route to Bilton Grange, when the crash happened in Holderness Road on Tuesday.
She suffered serious head injuries when the bus was struck by a silver Vauxhall Zafira at the junction with Kingsley Avenue at about 10am.
It is believed the woman had been standing on the bus waiting to get off outside Morrisons – 100 yards further down the road
A police spokeswoman said: "The woman is critical but stable."
Since news of the crash, Mail readers have taken to the paper's Facebook page to pass on their best wishes.
