ARMED police returned to an address in Tenterden Close this morning for the second time in two days. Officers were called to an "altercation" in the street at 10am today (Thursday) after reports firearms were involved. They were first called to the street on Tuesday at about 7pm, when four men were arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm. The Mail understands officers were also called to the street on Wednesday night. One resident said: "Last night, the police came back about 5pm – well that's when we saw them. "They were here until about 5.30pm and obviously they've just been back this morning, armed police again, but I'm not sure what they did. "We've got kids and if there's guns involved, it's obviously it's concerning. "Everybody's concerned because there's armed police officers - anybody would be. "There's been no real trouble from the house before that. Usually you get some kind of pre-warning." Another resident said roads were blocked off on Tuesday and people were told to stay indoors. They said: "When they first came on the first night, they secured the area and were stopping people from coming in and out. "There was police walking up and down telling people not to go near the house because there's armed police, but the police wouldn't say why. "It's quite strange, the fact it's happened twice in days. It's not every day you see armed police outside your door aiming guns at the house. "I've never known this around here, it's always quiet." Police would not confirm whether the men arrested on Tuesday are still in custody. A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said there was a "concern firearms may have been involved" in the altercation this morning. She said: "Armed officers were deployed to Tenterden Close, Hull, at approximately 10am today after a report was received of a possible altercation at an address previously visited by police. "Officers attended and inquiries are ongoing." No one was arrested. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
