RHYS Lovegrove has joined relegated London Bronocs on a two-year contract following his release from Hull KR.
The 27-year-old was released from his Rovers contract recently after eight seasons at the KC Lightstream Stadium.
The Broncos will play in the Championship next season following their relegation from Super League and Lovegrove is relishing trying to get the London side back in the top flight.
"I am excited by the new challenge of helping the Broncos regain Super League status, while continuing to promote and develop rugby league in the capital city," said Lovegrove, who is moving to the capital to be nearer to some family members.
"Head coach Joe Grima sold the club superbly with his ambitious and inspirational attitude.
"Joining the Broncos is a great move on and off the field.
"Off the field, my partner Libby has been extremely supportive during my eight years at Hull KR and we now look forward to fostering relationships with her family and friends in the London area."
Lovegrove made his Rovers debut in the 30-20 derby defeat at the KC Lightstream Stadium in July 2007, Rovers' first season in Super League.
Since then, the former St George Illawarra player has played 159 appearances for the Robins.
Broncos coach Joe Grima wants his new signing to use his experience to help develop younger members of his squad in their bid to win promotion back to Super League.
"Rhys is another great addition to our squad for next season," Grima said.
"Again it shows the calibre of player we are attracting with our vision for the club moving forward.
"We'll welcome Rhys to the club for pre-season training in November as a mature and experienced player who will work well with our younger players to help develop them whilst also concentrating on his game."
