HDM Sport on Facebook HE'S not even pulled on a Hull City shirt yet and already new £3.5m signing Mo Diame is making the national headlines. And they are the type of headlines which may see him endure a frosty reception when he makes his KC Stadium debut, from West Ham fans. According to the Daily Star, the 27-year-old has blamed Hammers boss Sam Allardyce for him being 'shunted' around the side and playing in positions he was not familiar with. And after joining the Tigers, he says he is looking forward to playing in his favoured central midfield role. "At West Ham I was shunted around all the different positions," said Diame, who could make his debut against the Hammers at the KC on September 15. "I remember one time I had to play as a striker. "That was not good for my career. I wanted to play for a club that is high in the Premier League table. "At least with Hull I will be certain of playing in my favoured role. "I should have left West Ham a long time ago, as with them I wasn't permitted to play in central midfield. "I wasn't able to get the biggest clubs interested in me, as when they came to watch me I'd been put in a position that was not mine. "You lose your bearings when you get shunted around all the different positions." Whilst the Sengal international's comments are unlikely to prove popular in East London, they won't bother City fans in the slightest. After all, the Hammers' loss appears to be the Tigers' gain.Allam earning praise from fans After a deadline day to remember from the Tigers, fans have been quick to praise owner Assem Allam for sanctioning four new additions on various social media platforms. Whilst the Egyptian will never be popular in some quarters because of his plans to re-name the club Hull Tigers, his stock certainly looks to be on the rise amongst some City followers. City blogger Dave Wilkinson is one of those fans who admits he had to take his hat off to Allam as the new signings kept on coming. In his latest article, he writes: "The whole 'Allam debate' is one that I've remained well and truly on the fence over. "I respect them massively for their passion and determination. However, in previous articles, I've been known to have voiced criticism. Not of their intentions but of the way they have gone about it and the way they have communicated with supporters and the media. "Like him or loathe him, the significant backing of Steve Bruce must be respected. You can argue that his investment is merely a loan to the club and that he could take it back at any time, but it's a loan that isn't coming from anywhere else and few would argue that we don't need it if we're going to compete this season." Although the club continue to use it #utt the fact that Huddersfield use it too is a real source of frustration for some City followers. The campaign to ditch it also seems to be gathering pace as more and more fans are using the unique #hcafc on their tweets.
@HullCity Good morning Hull City AFC. Please drop the Up The Terriers hashtag and use the right one! #hcafc

So, which hashtag is right and which one is wrong?
Ultimately, as is always the case, it is the Twitter users who will decide which is more popular. Let battle commence/carry on.![]()
