A MURDER investigation has been launched after a man died on a Bridlington street.
Police were called to Sewerby Road at 4.25am today, where they found the 39-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
An ambulance attended, but the man died at the scene.
Police said a car which had been seen leaving the street was stopped by officers in Seaton, near Hornsea, at 5am.
Four men who were inside the vehicle have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
A 27-year-old, a 22-year-old and a 37-year-old are in police custody, while a 47-year-old is currently receiving treatment at Hull Royal Infirmary for serious injuries sustained during the disturbance.
A police spokeswoman said: "Officers investigating the incident are seeking to reassure local residents the disturbance was confined to an address in Sewerby Road and there is not thought to be any risk to the wider community.
"At this stage in the investigation officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
"Specially trained officers are supporting the victim's family."
A post-mortem examination is due to take place later today.
