A PROLIFIC burglar who targeted homes across East Yorkshire this summer has been jailed for three years.
Luke Allen, of Manston Garth, Bransholme, burgled 19 homes across Beverley, Cottingham and Driffield throughout June and July.
Allen pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary at Hull Crown Court. He also asked for 17 other burglaries to be taken into consideration.
Detective Inspector Matt Peach, from Beverley CID, said: "My officers have worked very hard to ensure that the unusually high amount of burglaries the East Riding suffered during the months of June and July were solved.
"During this time Luke Allen committed a significant amount of offences in the East Riding and the surrounding areas and I am pleased he has been put before the courts and dealt with expeditiously."
