A FORMER Humberside Police officer has been jailed for three years for sexually assaulting four women.
Lee Kershaw, 38, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court today after admitting the attacks, which happened while he was working as a PC in Hornsea.
He also admitted misconduct in a public office by having sex with a member of the public while on duty.
All of the offences happened between 2007 and 2008.
He was sacked from the force in 2009.
In a statement after the hearing, Humberside Police Detective Superintendent Mathew Hutchinson said: "Lee Kershaw abused the trust that was placed in him as a police officer and committed a number of very serious offences.
"I would like to praise the victims for their bravery. Coming forward to report allegations such as these can be extraordinarily difficult and these women have demonstrated real tenacity and courage."
