HULL City goalkeeper Mark Oxley has joined Hibernian on an initial six-month loan, with the view of extending the deal until the end of the season.
Oxley impressed on his debut for the Scottish side despite a 1-0 friendly defeat to Dundee United yesterday.
The Sheffield-born stopper was likely to be fourth in line for the Tigers this season, with Allan McGregor, Steve Harper and Eldin Jakupovic nudging Oxley down the pecking order.
Nevertheless, he is delighted to be have a chance of playing regular football again instead of sitting on the sidelines waiting for an opportunity to arise.
"I'm really pleased to sign for Hibs – it's a big club with a positive atmosphere around the place. I'm excited about the future," Oxley said.
"As soon as I spoke to the manager, I realised that Hibs are a club heading in the right direction and I wanted to be part of it.
"This is a great opportunity for me and I'm determined to seize my chance by helping Hibernian to win as many games as possible and to get the club back into the Scottish Premiership."
