Pork business Cranswick saw revenues rise by five per cent in the second quarter of 2014. The Hull firm has also cut its debt to £33m, a reduction of £22m since June 2013. Cranswick said it was continuing to invest in new facilities, extending a Delico cooked meats facility in Milton Keynes and upgrading the chilling system at its plant in Norfolk. In a statement, directors said: "With experienced management at all levels of the group, a strong range of products, a well invested asset base and a robust financial position, the board remains confident in the continued long-term success and development of the business." Cranswick runs a major pork butchery plant in Preston, near Hull and has headquarters on Sutton Fields.
