FEATHERSTONE Rovers have set out their lofty ambitions to join Super League next season by targeting a range of out-of-contract stars from rival clubs.
Rovers, backed by wealthy majority shareholder Feisal Nahaboo, are close to signing out-of-favour Hull FC prop Jay Pitts.
Pitts, currently on loan at Bradford Bulls, could be handed a Super League lifeline by Rovers, and although they have failed with their audacious bid to tempt Warrington's Michael Monaghan out of retirement, they remain confident of landing Leon Pryce from Catalan Dragons.
"We have tabled what we believe is the biggest offer on the table for Leon," Nahaboo said.
"We've made it very clear we want him here and to help with the charge next season.
"We put a package to Michael that we thought he would take and come across. It would have been very good for this club, as we needed that marquee signing to look up to."
