TO mark Hull KR hitting 100 Super League home games, Charlie Mullan takes a look at top ten moments of the top-flight era in East HullRovers 14 Wakefield 9 (10/02/07) THE first of the century saw Rovers at home against Wakefield, who narrowly escaped relegation the season before. Sky sensed the Robins could surprise the Wildcats and with just two minutes remaining, everyone expected Rovers captain James Webster to go for a drop-goal that would tie the game at 9-9. However, he dummied and passed to Chris Chester, who created an opening for Ben Cockayne to score and secure a dream start in Super League.KR100derby Daniel Fitzhenry goes over for Rovers despite a challenge from Lee RadfordRovers 11 Hull FC 10 (21/3/08) (above) THE Robins had to wait 3,856 days to host a competitive derby since losing 20-12 to Hull in the Premiership. That was a long time to dwell on a defeat. This was the first derby of the season with both sides winning two clashes each the season before. In near arctic conditions, points were always going to be at a premium, but Jake Webster gave Rovers an early lead, with Paul Cooke adding the conversion. Daniel Fitzhenry's try gave Rovers a 10-0 lead but Cooke's conversion that started in line with the posts, got blown across the pitch and out of play on the opposite touchline. Hull rallied with tries from Danny Tickle and Kirk Yeaman, but James Webster's scruffy drop-goal proved to be the game-winner in one of the tightest derbies on record.Rovers 24 Huddersfield 24 (30/3/08) OF the first 100 Super League games to be played in east Hull, only two have ended in draws. Rovers twice led by 12 points, but saw those advantages wiped out by a stubborn Huddersfield side. Jake Webster opened the scoring in the third minute before he then sent Daniel Fitzhenry over in the left hand corner. Chev Walker may not have scored too many tries for Rovers in an injury-hit spell at the club, but his try gave KR an 18-6 lead. George Catis and Paul Whatuira scored to level the game. Rod Jensen's try looked to have sealed a Giants win, but Fitzhenry's second try and Paul Cooke's conversion earned a share of the points. KR100dobson Michael Dobson was unplayable against former club Wigan.Rovers 39 Wigan 22 (13/7/08) (above) THIS was the game that Rovers knew they had signed a quality player to replace the injured James Webster. Michael Dobson may have scored a couple of tries on his debut against London, but he spent the next few weeks getting used to life in Super League. Dobson helped Wigan avoid relegation in 2006 and it was clear he wanted to remind his former employers his skills. He was unplayable against the Warriors scoring four tries as Rovers came from 12 points down to secure victory. It wasn't just Dobson's four tries that took care of the Warriors, it was his kicking game that continually pegged the visitors back deep in their own half. It was after this game that KR coach Justin Morgan dubbed Dobson the best number seven in the city of Hull, a title he kept for the duration of his spell at Rovers.Rovers 16 Wigan 30 (26/9/09) THE Robins had finished fourth, their highest Super League position to date and faced Wigan in their only home play-off tie to date. Rovers had beaten the Warriors 20-12 at the DW Stadium while revenge was Wigan's in east Hull in June. The play-off game was all-but over by half-time with the Warriors leading 18-0. But tries from Kris Welham, Peter Fox and Chaz I'Anson scared Wigan into stepping up a gear, with Martin Gleeson scoring twice late on. Rovers 25 Leeds 6 (9/7/10) IT'S always nice to beat one of the big teams in front of your own supporters. The Rhinos had won the last three Grand Finals and were contenders to make it four in a row, but this win also helped Rovers establish themselves in the play-off places. Ben Galea opened the scoring before hooker Ben Fisher went over to double the Robins' lead. Peter Fox added another, with Michael Dobson converting all three tries. Ryan Hall's try got Leeds back in the game but they couldn't find a way through a well-organised Robins defence. Dobson's drop-goal made it 19-6 before Ben Cockayne sealed an unlikely league double for Rovers. Rovers 70 Wakefield 14 (3/7/11) ROVERS chairman Neil Hudgell had blasted the side a fortnight earlier after losing 46-16 at home to Warrington, and coach Justin Morgan was under pressure for the first time in his time in charge and his players responded with a 34-0 drubbing at London a week before Wakefield came to east Hull. Determined to put on a show for their home fans, Rovers blew the Wildcats away with the highest score in Super League. Liam Colbon, Peter Fox and Kris Welham all scored hat-tricks while Clint Newton and Jake Webster fell one try short of their trebles. The win opened up a four-point gap on the Wildcats. Rovers 35 Huddersfield 28 (7/6/13) ROVERS have a knack of pulling off some great results and last season at home to Huddersfield proved so. The Giants came to east Hull knowing determined to prove their Grand Final credentials. Sitting second in the table, Huddersfield were blown away as Travis Burns ran the show. He scored two of Rovers' six tries and had assists in two others, helping Alex Brown over the whitewash. Graeme Horne and Con Mika also scored to shock Huddersfield, who led 22-10 at one stage.KR100Hudd Joel Clinton and Michael Dobson celebrate their victory over Castleford Rovers 28 Castleford 26 (1/8/10) THIS game will be remembered for Josh Charnley's brilliant hat-trick, but Michael Dobson's last-gasp penalty from 47 metres out to win the match capped off a memorable afternoon for the Robins. Rovers led 18-12 at the break but Castleford drew level through Rangi Chase. A Dobson penalty edged Rovers ahead but Stuart Jones' try got the visitors back in front before Charnley completed his treble. Joe Westerman thought he had earned his side a point, but Dobson sealed the win.Rovers 21 Hull FC 20 (17/4/14) CRAIG Hall became the hero in east Hull with a drop-goal 45 seconds from time after an action-packed derby. Both sides had tries ruled out by the video referee who was called on seven times – six times in the second half. Jordan Rankin drew first blood for Hull, before Kevin Larroyer cancelled that out. Mick Weyman powered his over to give Rovers a 10-4 half-time lead which was cancelled out by Josh Bowden. Danny Houghton and Fetuli Talanoa cancelled out Graeme Horne's brace to set up a tense finale, but Hall poured misery on his former side by striking a sweet one-pointer to send the KR home crowd wild.Send us your best moments by email to sport@hulldailymail.co.uk or post on our Facebook sports page
