MATTY Fryatt has turned down Hull City's offer of a new contract to sign a three-year deal at Nottingham Forest, the Championship club have confirmed. The 28-year-old played a key role for the Tigers last season in their historic run to a first ever FA Cup final and will make his move official on July 1. However, despite being offered fresh terms at the KC Stadium, the lure of regular first-team football under Stuart Pearce has convinced him to join the Reds. Although he has given up the chance to play in Europe to drop back down into the Championship, he is known to be pleased to be moving nearer to his family home. Having been signed for just over £1m by former manager Nigel Pearson, Fryatt scored 16 goals in his debut season and he again ended the campaign just gone as the Tigers' top scorer. But after playing second fiddle to big-money January signings Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long in the Premier League, he has chosen to move on to pastures new.
