Hull City fans win first FA Cup final battle as flags take pride of place at Wembley

Hull City supporters have won the first battle on FA Cup final day – putting up their flags in a prime position along Wembley Way. As fans head down the famous walkway they are being greeted by numerous City flags, including one which reads 'The Land of Green Ginger', in reference to the famous Old Town street. Thousands of Tigers supporters are soaking up the sun around the ground.wembleySteve Payne, Rebecca Gilfillan, 13, and Theresa Gilfillan on Wembley Way. Jon Constable, of Cottingham, put his flag up at 11am. "It's fantastic to be here," he said. "Whatever happens today, it is unbelievable to have made it to the FA Cup final. "We've got a prime spot for the flag, so people coming down Wembley Way will see all these Hull City flags. "Hull has taken over Wembley Way."
