Team news | Hull City fans at Wembley The Hull UK City of Culture 2017 team has organised entertainment for supporters before the cup final, which also includes theatre, dance, opera and street entertainment. Cheryl Ribbitt, events officer for Hull City Council, said: "The aim is the promote the culture of Hull. We wanted to bring something from Hull to Wembley. "The phone boxes provide a signpost to the City of Culture presence and quirky backdrop to performances. Fans can step inside to see a visual cultural tour of Hull. "It has been well received. A group of Arsenal supporters knew about the famous phone boxes and said they thought they would have had to go to Hull to see them. "We want to show that Hull is the place to visit." Volunteers have been handing out flags and thousands of City of Culture maps. Jacqui Gay, communications manager for the City of Culture, said: "It's been the biggest six months for the city for a long time, with the City of Culture bid, Siemens and now Hull City in the FA Cup final. "There is a real fee-good factor about the place. The city is on the up. "I'm so proud of what the city has achieved and we are here today to spread the word about the culture in Hull." Among those taking photographs of the phone boxes in the sunshine was John East, 21, of Hornsea. "I didn't think I'd ever see a white phone box on Wembley Way, but then again I never thought I'd see Hull City in an FA Cup final," he said. "It's fantastic what we've achieved."
