A new puppet theatre has opened in Hull by staging a Christmas production of Aladdin.
The Indigo Moon Studio Theatre is based on the corner of Dairycoates Avenue and Woodcock Street. Anna Ingleby and Haviel Perdana have set up the theatre, which has a seating capacity for 60 people.
Aladdin is taking place from Wednesday to Sundays from now until January 6.
Anna said: "Many people don't understand the power of shadow puppetry until they see it, not realising that unlike film or video, the screen has characters which interact with the audience and answer back."
Performances are at 11am and 2.30pm. There will also be a drop-in arts workshop between shows from noon to 2pm, where you can try your hand at making your own shadow puppet.
Tickets cost £5, which can be bought by visiting www.wegottickets.com/IndigoMoonTheatre or by calling 07981 834241.
