A HULL man who threatened shoppers has been banned from various shopping centres across the city centre.
Scott Stelloohas been handed an ASBO for two years after he threatened and became verbally abusive to shoppers and staff at Hull Paragon Interchange and various shopping centres.
Hull Magistrates Court handed out the ASBO to Stelloo, of Blake Close, off Beverley Road, which means he can no longer visit Hull Paragon Interchange, St Stephen's shopping centre, Prospect shopping centre, Princes Quay shopping centre and Hull Central Library.
David Hatfield, station manager at Hull Paragon Interchange said: "This ASBO will provide staff and passengers using Hull Interchange with a respite from Mr Stelloo's anti-social behaviour.
"He brought nothing but fear and misery to the Interchange and I am confident this action will benefit the Interchange for the period of his ASBO and hopefully beyond."
Hull City Councillor John Hewitt said: "This two-year order has been put in place to prevent further incidents taking place. Businesses and visitors to the city centre should not have to feel intimidated when going about their everyday business and the types of behaviour displayed were not acceptable.
"We are grateful to our partners that provided sufficient evidence to ensure the appropriate action was taken."
To report any antisocial behaviour, call the Neighbourhood Nuisance Team on 01482 300 300 or police on 101.
