A HOSPITAL trust in our region has been named as one of those to be placed in special measures.
Speaking in the House of Commons today, health secretary Jeremy Hunt said a new report found failings at 14 trusts reviewed.
He named 11 which would be placed in special measures, including Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - which runs three sites, including Goole and District Hospital.
He was speaking on the day the Keogh Mortality Review is published - which looks into the high death rates at hospitals across the country.
Mr Hunt also said the trusts in special measures would be subject to further reviews in the next 12 months, support teams, and be partnered with high performing hospitals.
