When viewing tourism brochures both in print and online, it is easy to see the appeal of our area. (Hull and East Yorkshire) but often local councils are ruining the tourism industry in the area, by implimenting rules such as the ban on dogs on Hornsea promenade or restricting planning permission. Visitors need something to go to in the area, and if the councils continue to pillage the local area of its atteraction what will be left. As a resident of Hornsea for a number of years I have seen the decline of a once busy seaside resort into an often ghost town along the seafront. East Yorkshire is home to a range of seaside towns, why is the East Riding of Yorkshire Council not using this to their advantage? Something needs to be developed in the area to attract people from afar, an event? a theme park? who knows, but what are your ideas to bring people to East Yorkshire?
