A woman was injured in an accident on Holderness Road today - just yards from where a man was killed yesterday afternoon.
Witnesses said the woman was hit by a Mercedes car after chasing a toddler who ran out into the road.
She suffered minor injuries.
It is believed she was the grandmother of the toddler.
Emergency services attended but the road did not have to be closed.
The accident happened near the junction with Buckingham Street.
Yesterday a man was killed on the same stretch of road when he was hit by a lorry.
Humberside Police have launched an investigation into the death of the man, believed to be in his 60s or 70s.
Residents have expressed concern about the number of accidents on the busy shopping street.
