DAVID Meyler has praised Hull City team-mate George Boyd for his form after the forward scooped the Championship's Player of the Month award for March.
Boyd, signed on loan from Peterborough in February after a move to Nottingham Forest fell through on a failed eye test, won the honour after scoring four goals in five games.
Joining Sone Aluko for November and Steve Bruce for December's Manager of the Month, Boyd has collected City's third individual prize of the season.
"Well anyone that's watched Hull City since George has signed will not need me to explain," said Meyler.
"He's fully deserved the Player of the Month. For a player that's only got one eye he's terrific!
"He's scored some crucial goals for us and no doubt he'll keep doing that.
"He's very clever, very intelligent. That sense of awareness that the best players in the world have, George has a little bit of that. That calmness and that left foot, he's some player."
