FORMER Skirlaugh star Jamie Shaul bagged a brace on his Hull FC debut to inspire a 34-22 victory at Wakefield.
Bouncing back from their derby defeat on Good Friday, Hull fought back from 10-0 down inside the opening 15 minutes, thanks to Shaul's superb half-the-length-of-the-field opener and a Ben Crooks effort.
The full-back added another in the second half to edge Hull ahead, before FC ran away with the scoreboard after tries from Aaron Heremaia, Crooks and Tom Briscoe, with Danny Tickle adding five conversions from six attempts.
However, there was blow to FC when forward Ben Galea dislocated his thumb, ruling him out for several weeks.
