HULL FC will be without forward Ben Galea for between six to eight weeks after he dislocated his thumb in today's 34-22 win at Wakefield.
It is the latest injury setback to the Black and Whites, who are already missing experienced stars such as Gareth Ellis, Daniel Holdsworth, Shannon McDonnell and Kirk Yeaman.
"He's dislocated his thumb and needs surgery," Gentle admitted.
"It is another injury and it challenges our depth, but, we are confident of using the younger players and there are plenty of players that will be available to play next week.
"We have Dean Hadley waiting in the wings, Josh Bowden, Jay Pitts and Chris Green, who all didn't play. We have enough there to cover."
