Hull City's Egyptian star Ahmed Elmohamady has spoken of his World Cup ambitions as Egypt look to take a step closer to next year's tournament in Brazil.
Elmohamady joins fellow Tigers Gedo and Ahmed Fathi in the Egypt squad for tomorrow's World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe in Alexandria.
The Pharaohs are on fire after thrashing Swaziland 10-0 in a friendly on Friday although coach Bob Bradley rested Gedo and Elmohamady ahead of the Zimbabwe game. Fathi did play in the win.
Speaking ahead of the match, winger Elmohamady, one of the Tigers best performers this season stressed the importance of a win at tomorrow's match to keep Egypt's World Cup target on track.
He said: "Our dream is to play in Brazil in the World Cup and we have a great opportunity to achieve that especially as we won our first two games in the qualifiers.
"We missed our fans in last match because of security measures, and I think the supporters in tomorrow's match will be the key for winning. Beating Zimbabwe means we're on the right track to make our dream a reality.
"There are no small or big teams in football anymore, they are all playing to win whoever their opponent is. We must respect Zimbabwe and do our best to win and put a smile on the Egyptians faces who need that especially now."
The Egyptian national team will host Zimbabwe at the Borg El-Arab stadium in Alexandria. Egypt, seven-time African champions, are bidding to reach the World Cup for the first time since 1990, lie on top of group G with a maximum six points from two games, three ahead of Guinea and five clear of Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
Only the group winners will advance to the decisive round, where they will play a two-legged tie to obtain one of the five African tickets for next year's World Cup in Brazil.
