"There could be a scattering of snow showers which will become more isolated but there will still be the potential for snow."
A "yellow" severe weather warning warning has been put in place for northern parts of the county - including the Wold west of Bridlington. It is valid from 8pm tonight to 9am on Tuesday.Temperatures over the next few days will reach no higher than 3C but a strong easterly wind will make it feel significantly colder.
The chilly conditions are expected to continue into the middle of the week.
