HULL: Council tax bills in the city are set to rise again next year, according to deputy council leader Daren Hale.
Households face a 1.9 per cent increase from next month, ending a three-year freeze.
But Cllr Hale said another hike was inevitable next year unless the Government restored some of the funding it had taken over from the authority over the past three years.
Opposition Liberal Democrat group Leader Abigail Bell said: "Labour talk about helping the worst off but here they are increasing a tax that will hit families all over the city."
