COMIC Relief fever has swept across Hull and the East Riding today as the pounds start rolling in for Red Nose Day.
To mark the 25th anniversary of the appeal, hundreds of events have taken place, from pie-throwing and head-shaves to fancy dress days.
Once again the Mail is also teamed up with the Comic Relief and the Two Ridings Community Foundation to give away £50,000 to charitable causes.
Entries for applications are now closed and a panel will meet on April 17 to decide the worthy winners of grants between £500 and £1,000.
Among the events being held today were bake-offs at schools and nurseries, sponsored skipping days and a cubs and beavers sleepover at The Deep.
Sisters Evie and Hannah Gotts from Broadacre Primary School in Bransholme even made bookmarks out of adverts for Red Nose Day by using newspaper.
