The M62 motorway is closed eastbound this morning after a lorry shed a load of 10 tonnes of salmon.
Traffic heading towards Hull is queueing between junction 34 (A19) at Selby and junction 35 (M18) at Langham.
Emergency services are working to move an overturned lorry from the road.
The driver, a 47-year-old man, has suffered head injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police were called at 2.45am.
The 44-tonne lorry was carrying a load of approximately 10 tonnes of frozen fish, some of which has spilled onto the road.
The lorry is blocking the eastbound carriageway.
Some of the fish has spread over on to the opposite carriageway.
Diversions are signed via the A19 and A645 or the A19, A63 and A1041 for high vehicles.
Police say the closure is expected to remain in place for some time to enable recovery of the lorry and the load.Updated 1.15pm. More to follow.
