Our daily blog with the latest news, transfer rumours and gossip about Hull City in the Premier League.

HDM Sport on Facebook HULL City boss Steve Bruce has admitted the Tigers may be priced out of the race to sign ex-Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe. The 32-year-old has made no secret of his desire to return to the Premier League following his move to Toronto FC last year. City are thought to be interested in the forward, but with clubs such as Liverpool circling, reported wage demands of £60,000 of could force the Tigers to back away from any potential swoop. And Bruce says whilst he's an admirer of Defoe, he isn't counting his chickens on securing his signature. "Most clubs in our position would like a player like Jermain," he told Sky Sports. "If there is a chance, we would be interested in him, but I don't want to get the hopes up of all the Hull supporters. He might be too expensive."Bordeaux line up Sagbo – but prefer Sanogo FOLLOWING a quiet showing in the FA Cup third round defeat to Arsenal yesterday, it seems as though Hull City are prepared to let striker Yannick Sagbo leave the club.French media are reporting that the 26-year-old has been offered to Bordeaux by the Tigers, but the Ligue 1 side are thought to be more keen on recruiting Gunners forward Yaya Sanogo. Talks between Arsenal and Bordeaux have hit a stumbling block after Sanogo agreed to join Willy Sagnol's side in principle – which could resurrect a move for Sagbo.Black Cats join race for Tigers target Lennon IF there is a slim chance of Aaron Lennon joining the Tigers this month, then their task of recruiting the winger has just been made more difficult.Sunderland have now joined the race for the Tottenham man, who will be allowed to leave White Hart Lane in this transfer window, according to The Sun. After being previously linked for Lennon by several national newspapers, City may have to sell players in order to fund any such move for the 27-year-old.Bruce sack odds shorten to joint-favourite THOSE rumours never seem to go away. Steve Bruce has been touted as joint-favourite for the next Premier League manager to receive the boot by SkyBet. Joining under pressure Everton boss Roberto Martinez at a 5/1 punt, Bruce remains tipped by the bookies to get the sack if results don't improve for the Tigers. OK, so City aren't in the most desired place in the table, but results have improved somewhat of late. And I'll give everyone my thoughts – keep Bruce in the job and the Tigers will remain in the Premier League.Bullard's shirt sends social media into overdriveJIMMY Bullard. He never fails to make a scene and he did just that once again on the BBC yesterday. As a guest pundit covering Hull City's FA Cup defeat to Arsenal, Twitter went into overdrive for the former Tigers star's unbuttoned attire. After spending a few weeks in the Jungle for I'm A Celebrity, maybe Bullard forgot he was back in chilly England. Taking to social media to address his followers, Bullard saw the funny side as he always does.

City's Twitter account makes a howler – and apologises AND finally, we all make mistakes on Twitter once in a while, but few could predict the howler from Hull City's official account before yesterday's early FA Cup exit. Tweeting prior to kick-off: "Whether you're watching at the Emirates or listening at home – sing your hearts out for the lads and help the team to all three points! #UTT" The right message – but completely wrong competition, and the national newspapers, including the Daily Mirror, and savvy Twitter users picked up the error instantly. Though the post has now been deleted, it garnered hundreds of retweets – thus prompting an apology from City's account.
