A young man suffered serious injuries after his scooter crashed with a car on Preston Road in east Hull.
The 20-year-old man was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary after leaving the scene of the accident on Sunday afternoon shortly before 2pm.
He remains in hospital today but his injuries are not life-threatening.
A spokesman for Humberside Police said: "The incident involved a collision between a silver Vauxhall Astra and a red and white scooter.
"A 20-year-old man driving the scooter left the scene following the collision but was later taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment.
"His injuries are not life threatening."
