THE search for a teenage girl who fell from the Humber Bridge on Thursday has been suspended.
Humber Coastguard confirmed the search for Beth Wilkinson, 16, has been put on hold until they receive further instructions from Humberside Police.
A spokesman said: "We are not conducting any searches today. The search has been called off until we receive new information."
A team from Humber Rescue searched low tide areas of the estuary at Saltend and Paull for several hours yesterday morning.
However, there are no plans to launch a search today.
A representative from Humber Rescue said: "We are stood down for the time being and will wait for further instructions from Humber Coastguard and Humberside Police, who are coordinating the search."
Beth was seen by police falling from the bridge just before 9am on Thursday.
On Friday, friends laid flowers at Hessle Foreshore in an emotional vigil for the the former Wolfreton School pupil.
