She may only be 13, but singer and songwriter Yasmin Coe is already making her mark on the local music scene.
Now the city star is getting ready to release her first single Nothing Better.
"I am beyond excited for my debut single," she said.
"It's unreal that it's all happening so fast, even though I am still so young.
"This opportunity is amazing and fantastic, and I am just embracing every second of it."
The single is released on the same day as the gig at the Raine Club, off Holderness Road – Sunday, December 14.
"This song means so much to me as it is about my best friend who moved away to America," she said.
"I feel that the emotions I have experienced made that song seem so much more real, and it's important to me that others can relate to the song.
"A few of my friends can relate to the single, one of them even cries at the song. Everyone in my class supports me as well."
Yasmin performed live for the first time at this year's Humber Street Sesh.
She said: "I was nervous for Humber Street Sesh, but I've been told that nerves are just a way of making you stronger, and making your performance even better.
"It's good to have those nerves, and I think everyone knew that I would have had them at my first performance."
The talented teen can already play the guitar, violin and clarinet.
"I do take up a lot of time practising the instruments I play already, but if I did learn another, I think it would either be the bass guitar or the saxophone.
"I would really like to be a singer and songwriter when I'm older. Music means so much to me, and with all these amazing opportunities, I know I can get there." Yasmin will be joined by Myles and John (Kingmaker).
There will also be support on the night with acoustic sets from Wayward Suns and Breeze.Yasmin CoeWhen: Sunday, December 14, from 3pmWhere: Raine Club, 160 Durham Street, HullEntry: FreeCall: 01482 329510
