A road off Bridlington seafront has been cordoned off amid reports of an armed siege.
A large number of police are on the scene at Belgrave Road and armed officers are also thought to be present.
A disused hotel undergoing renovation into luxury flats is the focus of the police activity.
Belgrave Road is one of the main areas for hotels and bed and breakfast accommodation and is close to Brid Spa.
The Mail understands the police presence on Belgrave Road has now been scaled down.
