A man has died after part of a building collapsed into a Bridlington street.
The 61-year-old man was struck by falling bricks in Cliff Street, shortly before 1pm today.
The man was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.
A taxi was also badly damaged.
A police spokesman said: "Humberside Police were called at 12.59pm after masonry fell from the building and struck the man and a vehicle.
"The ambulance service attended, but the man died as a result of his injuries. The Coroner's Office has been informed."
Part of Cliff Street is expected to remain cordoned off tonight while further safety checks are carried out.
The spokesman added: "The cordon and road closures have caused disruption in the area and police would like to thank the public for their patience."
