Police have issued a fresh appeal to find a man wanted over a string of thefts. Anthony Tye is suspected of targeting sports clubs around the country, including Sewerby Cricket Club.
Last month, officers and the police helicopter were seen searching for Tye in Bewholme, near Hornsea, after a reported sighting.
Now, police want to speak to him in connection with a burglary at Monmouth Boys' School cricket pavilion, in Wales, on Thursday, June 19, when wallets, mobile phones, cash and a watch were stolen.
Tye, 60, from Yorkshire, is described as white, 6ft 2in tall and of medium build. He has short grey hair, green eyes and a northern accent.
The Mail reported in August how he was suspected of involvement in the thefts at Sewerby Cricket Club. Five Scalby CC players returned to the changing rooms to find a total of £155 missing from their wallets.
Police forces in the West Midlands, Lancashire and Avon and Somerset would like to speak to Tye in connection with other burglaries and thefts.
If anyone has information on Tye, call 01633 838111 and quote log number 369 of June 19.
