A MOTORIST allegedly armed himself with a baseball bat and used it to damage a car in a 'road rage' attack near the Humber Bridge.
Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack, which is said to have happened close to the A15 slip road in Barton, between 4.15am and 5am, on Sunday, September 21.
A force spokesman said: "A silver VW Passatt taxi and a silver Ford Focus almost collided as they were approaching the toll booths at the Humber Bridge.
"The two cars then crossed the bridge before the driver of the Ford Focus pulled up in front of the Passatt forcing it to stop.
"The man driving the Focus then got out his car and allegedly attacked the Passatt with a baseball bat causing damage to the car. He then returned to his vehicle and drove off."
It is believed a number of cars were in the area at the time of the incident and police say they would like to speak to them as independent witnesses.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting 2067924, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
