KIND-HEARTED people are donating money to a family devastated by a fire which killed up to 25 dogs.
The fire ripped through the Hornsea home, which housed up to 25 Staffordshire and English bull terriers, on Saturday night.
Since news spread through the town about the blaze in Graingers Road, shortly before 7pm, dozens of people have donated money to help the family.
A web page has been set up by Sarah Skinner, who is unknown to the family.
She said: "It is with a heavy heart that it has been reported that a terrible fire has hit a family home in Hornsea, which has reportedly destroyed the house and devastatingly resulted in the death of 25 much loved dogs.
"This page has been set up to donate any money you can for this family in their time of need.
"Let's come together as a town and a community."
Donations had surpassed £700 by Sunday afternoon.
A man named Steve has also set up a Fund Raising For Amanda Facebook page.
He said: "A house fire engulfed her home and totally burned it to the ground resulting in the loss of all her dogs.
"Amanda and her family are fine except for smoke inhalation got while trying to rescue her pets, which sadly they were unable to do.
"She has lost everything and as you can imagine her world has been taken from her."
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service are investigating the cause of the blaze.
