An update of people convicted and sentenced in the courts in Hull and the East Riding.
Stuart Banks, 43, of Great Thornton Street, west Hull, was jailed for 16 weeks for breaching a restraining order and assault by beating.
ABR Rescue Ltd, of Grindell Street, east Hull, was fined £400 for failing to identify to police a driver who was alleged to have committed an offence. The company was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £40 surcharge.
Clive McMurray, 32, of Spencer Court, Saner Street, west Hull, must do 40 hours of unpaid work and pay compensat- ion of £4.49 for stealing three jars of Nescafé coffee, worth £13.47, from B&M Bargains. He must pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge.
Darren Nolan, 40, of Ashworthy Close, Bransholme, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for possessing heroin. He must pay £85 costs and a £15 surcharge.
Gary Salvage, 39, of Clairbrook Close, west Hull, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing cosmetics worth £91.25 from Boots. He must pay £85 costs and a £15 surcharge.
David Schofield, 37, of Henson Villas, Pearson Park, west Hull, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing three boxes of Lego, worth £38.97, and nine DVDs, worth £49.91, from WH Smith. He must pay £85 costs and a £15 surcharge.
Angela Shearsmith, 39, of Hampshire Street, west Hull, must do 100 hours of unpaid work and was banned from driving for 28 months for drink-driving. She must pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge.
Karl Twyford, 18, of Perth Street, west Hull, was fined £75 and banned from driving for eight months for driving without due care and attention. He must pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.
Gennady Ushkov, 53, of Boulevard, west Hull, was fined £600 and had six points put on his licence for driving without insurance. He must pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge.
Michaela Moss, 32, of Anlaby Road, west Hull, must pay £100 compensation for stealing a cooker and fridge-freezer.
