HDM Sport on Facebook As expected, today's headlines in the national press are linking Hull City boss Steve Bruce with the managerial hotseat at Newcastle United. Even though the City boss came out to say he thought the links were 'disrespectful' yesterday, it hasn't stopped today's Daily Mail from saying he 'could be the man to end Alan Pardew's four-year tenure' on Tyneside. But with City set to face the Toon Army on Saturday, tensions could run high at St James' Park, especially as it is the first time Pardew has been on the touchline against the Tigers since he head-butted David Meyler last season. According to The Newcastle Chronicle, there will not be any sacking before the weekend despite a disastrous run of form. They have taken just 18 points from a possible 69 this year, boast a win ratio of just 20 per cent and one win in their last 12 Premier League games. Having failed to score in 67 per cent of their last 24 top-flight games, City are expected to start as favourites regardless of tonight's result against West Ham at the KC Stadium.Huddlestone won't give up on England Tom Huddlestone admits he would love to pull on the Three Lions of England again in today's Daily Star. But Huddlestone hopes having the likes of Curtis Davies, Jake Livermore, Tom Ince and Harry Maguire at the KC may make boss Roy Hodgson take a trip up north. "I don't think he's been up yet," said the 27-year-old at the launch of a FIFA 15 demo. "I will always remain hopeful. Obviously I have got to have a good season for Hull. I was fairly happy with the way I performed last season, so hopefully I can kick on and do the same this season." The former Spurs men took part in the show's quirky 'Mr & Mr' feature and offered a few insights to fans, such as whether they preferred X-Factor to Strictly Come Dancing, or Corrie over Eastenders. On a serious note, Livermore reckoned the best player he's ever played with is Luka Modric and Dawson admitted Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the toughest opponent of his career.
