UPDATED WITH DESCRIPTIONS:Police are hunting three people who tried to snatch a four-year-old girl from a west Hull play park.
The girl's mother called in police when the two women and a man tried to lure her daughter away from Pickering Park this week.
The little girl had gone with her mother to play in the fenced swing park off Pickering Road, west Hull, at around lunchtime on Wednesday.
However, as the girl's mother turned away to deal with her other child, two women and a man approached the little girl as she played on the swings.
They then led the little girl out of the park after offering to take her to see the birds in the park's aviary.
The girl's mother confronted them and grabbed her daughter away from the trio, who then fled the park.
Humberside Police were called in by the girl's family on Wednesday evening and are now trying to find the two women and the man responsible for leading the little girl away from her mother.
A police spokesman said: "This is an isolated report but police are trying to establish the circumstances of the incident and ascertain the intentions of the adults.
"If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 573 of August 27."UPDATE: Humberside Police has this afternoon issued a description of the three people wanted in connection with the attempted abduction. All three are white and in their 20s.
The first woman was in her late 20s, around 5ft 8, is slim and has dark shoulder-length hair. The second woman is of a similar age and build with lighter hair. She was wearing pink cropped jogging bottoms and flip flops.
The man was in his mid 20s, around 6ft and was slim. He was wearing a black woolly hat, black jeans and a black woolly jumper.
It is the second serious crime to happen in the park this year.
In May, a girl was stabbed in Pickering Park as she met with friends.
The 14-year-old was in the park on a Saturday evening when she suffered a single stab wound just before 10pm. It is understood she may have been camping in the park with her friends at the time.
Matthew Grebe, 39, appeared in court on May 19 charged with attempted murder following the attack.
