BOSS Billy Heath says North Ferriby United are "back in the groove" as the Villagers chase their third win in a week.

Having already seen off Stockport County (1-0) and Hyde United (3-0), Heath's men face Gloucester City at the Eon Visual Media Stadium tomorrow (3pm).

Heath said: "We've got the job done, you always want that first win as quickly as possible.

"To get it against Stockport and away from home was particularly pleasing.

"What pleased me the most, though, was that we've picked up the pace of the games and we are in the groove.

"You often don't know after pre-season how the players are going to come back and how things are going to pan out, but two wins in the space of four days is excellent."

While delighted by the results, Heath will not be getting carried away just yet, particularly as Stockport and Hyde also lost their midweek games to languish near the foot of the table.

Tomorrow's opponents Gloucester opened their campaign with a 3-3 draw against Bradford Park Avenue, before going down to a 2-1 defeat at Tamworth.

Nevertheless, the Villagers' boss has been heartened by both his side's early season results and performances.

He added: "Four goals scored, none conceded and two wins, it's been a great week.

"We knew Stockport would be tough, but the players have done really, really well.

"As well as getting the wins, I thought we played some really good stuff.

"You always try to average out a points return of two a game.

"If we could win tomorrow then we would already be ahead of schedule after the first week."

Heath, though, said his side will be wary of their visitors' threat.

"It will be another interesting game," he said.

"We'll be at home and are full of confidence, but Gloucester have scored quite a few so far, although they've conceded some too, so we have to be mindful of that.

"But like I say, we have kept two clean sheets and we are looking very solid."

Despite three games in a week, Ferriby's only injury doubt is Danny Emerton, who picked up a knock against Hyde.

Danny Hone serves the last of his three-game ban.
