North Ferriby United midfielder Adam Bolder accepts he has to wait for his chance to start for the Villagers after they opened the season with successive wins.
Bolder has come off the bench in both victories against Stockport County last Saturday and Hyde FC on Tuesday, but insists he will be ready if and when Ferriby manager Billy Heath calls upon him.
Heath has kept the nucleus of the side that finished second to Telford in the Conference North and Bolder accepts that.
"I knew that would be the case," Bolder told the Mail.
"If I was the manager, I'd be reluctant to make changes from the team that did so well last season.
"I missed a couple of games in pre-season and knew I'd be on the bench so it's my own fault.
"I've come off the bench and got a good half hour in both games so far.
"We've looked really positive and the workrate has been second to none.
"If we keep winning I can't see changes being made.
"I just have to bide my time and be ready when I am called upon."
