A man has suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a Transit van on Boothferry Road in Hessle this morning.
The 23-year-old man was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment after the collision happened at 8.40am.
The incident happened at the junction with Heads Lane.Police are now appealing for witnesses.
A Humberside Police statement said: "The collision involved a white Ford Transit van and a pedestrian.
"The 43-year-old driver of the van was not injured."
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Humberside Police on 101, quoting reference number 112 of 13/08/2014.
