UPDATED: TWO people have died and another two are injured following a three-car crash near Driffield.
Humberside Police were called to the scene, close to the entrance of Driffield Golf Club on the A164, Driffield, following the accident at 1.15pm today.
The crash involved a silver Nissan Micra, a white Nissan Qashqai and a red Chevrolet Kalos SX.
A man driving the Nissan Micra and a woman passenger, both believed to be in their 70s, have died.
A man driving the Nissan Qashqai and a woman passenger both suffered serious injuries, although these are not thought to be life-threatening.
Both are being treated at Hull Royal Infirmary.
The driver and passengers of the Chevrolet were not injured.
Previous reports from Humberside Police stated a motorbike was involved, but this is not the case.
Road closures between the roundabout junction with the A164 and Beverley Road, Driffield, and the A164 junction with Jenkinson Lane at Hutton Cranswick were in place after the crash.
The road re-opened at 6.30pm.
