HULL FC half-back Jordan Rankin is facing a short spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a torn meniscus. Rankin pulled up early in the second half of Hull's 18-18 draw with Castleford last Thursday. Leaving the stadium on crutches, FC were fearful of a lengthy absence, but thankfully that's not the case. Although coach Lee Radford has definitely ruled him out of tomorrow's clash with St Helens, a week off due to the Challenge Cup semi-finals will come as a welcomed relief for both Rankin and Hull. Radford is expecting his half-back to return for the Bradford Bulls tie on August 17. "Jordan is likely to miss the next two to three weeks, but with Richard Horne coming back, it couldn't have been better timing bringing a bloke back in with his experience," he told the Mail. "Obviously the cup fixtures give us a couple of weeks off and he'll miss this week's game, but probably be back for the Bradford Bulls game."
