A woman who fraudulently claimed £7,400 in benefits has been ordered to pay it back.
Debra Byard, 48, was receiving council tax and housing benefit when she failed to tell East Riding Council her earnings had increased.
Byard, of Manor Road, Goole, pleaded guilty at Beverley Magistrates' Court to dishonestly failing to notify the authority of a change in her circumstances.
She was sentenced to a community order including 120 hours of unpaid work, and must pay £400 court costs. She also has to repay the £7,401.22 she claimed between August 2011 and September 2013.
Jeff Taylor, principal fraud investigation and enforcement officer at the council, said: "We continue to crack down on benefit fraudsters. This is a good result we hope will act as a warning to anyone thinking of cheating the system."
