The man arrested in connection with the death of Bridlington guest house landlady Bei Carter is now in police custody after spending the weekend in hospital with minor injuries.
John Heald, 53, was arrested by South Yorkshire Police on Friday afternoon after a week-long manhunt.
Mrs Carter died from a single stab wound to the chest at the Morayland Hotel in Marshall Avenue on Friday, July 18.
About 150 police officers were involved in the search for Heald and a reward of £10,000 was offered by Crimestoppers for information leading to his arrest.
Humberside Police are now questioning Heald at a station in Hull about Mrs Carter's death, as well as a serious sexual assault that took place in Sheffield on July 13.
