Gareth Westmorland gives his verdict on the Hull FC player performances in the 35-22 defeat at Salford Red Devils.
Jamie Shaul: Recovered from early error to spring FC to life. Scored a try as Hull fought their way back but it wasn't to be. 7
Callum Lancaster: A quiet game from the youngster who wasn't fed the ball for the majority of the night. Caught out in defence on some occasions which led to Salford scores. 6
Kirk Yeaman: Took his two tries well and never gave up the ghost. Showed spirit to claw over and capitalise on tiring Salford defence. 7
Fetuli Talanoa: Sloppy mistakes such as wild passing to touch saw Talanoa's game end on a sour note. Must improve communication with his team-mates. 6
Tom Lineham : Unlucky not to be on the scoreboard but was caught out for Griffin and Caton-Brown's touch-downs. 6
Jordan Rankin : An unhappy return for the half-back and spent ten minutes in sin-bin, where Salford capitalised on the short numbers for Hull. 6
Richard Horne: Failed to spark any sort of opening for the visitors, but didn't receive much help from his team-mates. 6
Liam Watts: His poor pass was intercepted by Rangi Chase and that opened the first-half floodgates for the Black and Whites. 6
Danny Houghton: The stand-in skipper was arguably Hull's best performer. Unlucky not to crash over but turned provider for Hadley and company. 7
Josh Bowden: Almost produced a score in the first half, but again Hull's support play was non-existent. 6
Dean Hadley: A solid display on his return to the side and capped his comeback with a try in vain for his side. 7
Setaimata Sa: Struggled to cope with opposite number Harrison Hansen and uncharacteristic errors crept into his play. 6
Joe Westerman: A night Westerman will want to forget in a flash but again never stopped running for the cause. 6
Aaron Heremaia: Took a knock to the head and had to come off during the game. Had handbags with Greg Johnson which gifted two points for Salford. 6
Chris Green: Another FC man to end up with wounds from the defeat, but otherwise a good game on his return from a loan at Featherstone. 7
Iafeta Palea'aesina: Not given much of a platform to distribute his trademark barn-storming runs, and will look to improve against former side Wigan on Friday. 6
Jordan Abdull: Came onto the field with the game out of reach for the Black and Whites, but the experience he will gain will be second to none. 6
