A DRIVER who died after his car crashed into a wall in Beverley has been named as 80-year-old Peter Temperton.
The pensioner, of Meadowbank in Beverley, died at the scene after his red Ford B-Max car left the road and collided with the wall of a house garage along Newbegin.
The road was closed at its junctions with Lairgate and St Mary's Terrace after the emergency services arrived at the scene early Wednesday morning.
No other vehicle was involved and no one else was injured.
