OVER the next coming days, Hull City will need to keep on their toes as their Premier League rivals continue to circle the Tigers' transfer targets.
One player that seems the closest to becoming a City player within the next 48 hours is Michael Dawson.
The experienced Spurs defender was unlikely to be shy of potential suitors, but West Ham are looking to step in with a late bid for the centre-back.
Big Sam Allardyce has been busy in the transfer market already this season, and has still not given up hope of taking the defender to Upton Park.
According to ClubCall, he is hoping the fact Dawson would not have to move home could help swing a deal, but it is the Tigers who remains favourites.
And with personal terms all but agreed, City are hoping Dawson can put pen to paper by midweek, with a Sun source saying: "Steve Bruce is in pole position to get Dawson.
"There is the attraction of Europa League football."Omeruo on Tigers radar?
IN contrast to other clubs looking to pinch City's potential players, the Tigers are hoping to snatch Nigeria centre-back Kenneth Omeruo from Middlesbrough's grasp, according to Nigerian website SL10.ng.
Omeruo spent the end of last season on loan at the Riverside from parent club Chelsea and Boro were hoping to land the midfielder to help boost their promotion hope.
However, his performances at the World Cup, where he played every minute in Nigeria's four games, have not gone unnoticed by top Premiership sides.
Steve Bruce is known to be strengthening his back-line, and is said to be eyeing up Omeruo to shore up his defence ahead of a busy Europa League schedule.
City believe been in the Premier League will boost their chances of landing the Nigerian, despite Boro's boss Aitor Karanka's close relationship with Chelsea.
The Tigers believe Omeruo would jump at the chance of playing in the Premier League to enhance his chances of breaking into Chelsea's team, rather than playing in the Championship with Middlesbrough.Ince stalling for Stoke?
A FOOTBALLER known to many supporters for stalling on deals is Tom Ince, and the Daily Mail says Stoke are about to step in with an 11th-hour offer for the Tigers target.
The 22 year-old winger has reportedly agreed personal terms with City following positive talks last week, but is yet to put pen to paper.
The Potters have previously flirted with Ince during the January transfer window before he eventually joined Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season.
He has since spoken with Inter Milan, his dad Paul's former club, but still remains a free agent.
Because of his age, however, Blackpool are still entitled to demand a fee by way of compensation, and a figure as high as £8m has been quoted.
Stoke, much like the Tigers, would not entertain that kind of fee and so would take the transfer to a tribunal if they went ahead to sign Ince.Robertson heading to Hull for talks?
WITH a figure of £3m now being touted around for Dundee United's Andy Robertson over the past few days, The Mirror report that Steve Bruce wants the young Scot to come to England for talks tomorrow after increasing offers for him over the past few days.
Bruce thinks Robertson is ideal for the left-back role – after a move for Tottenham's Danny Rose proved too difficult – and is keen for the Scot to be part of the travelling party to Portugal for the club's pre-season training camp later this week.
Apparently, Scotland boss Gordon Strachan has been singing Robertson's praises to his old pal Bruce, and City want a deal wrapped up quickly.
But that will mean fending off interest from rival clubs such as West Ham and Everton, who previously held an interest in the 20-year-old during the January transfer window.Jelavic and Figueroa to miss Portugal
AND finally, if you haven't already heard, Nikica Jelavic and Maynor Figueroa will not travel to Hull City's training camp in Portugal this week.
But fear not, Tigers fans. No injuries have been sustained, it's plainly for recovery as the pair played their part in the World Cup finals.Steve Bruce has opted to hand out an additional 10 days off ahead of the new Premier League season starting next month.
